Assessing the current state of Design Thinking

opportunity: IDEO is known for coining the term, “Design Thinking,” but they were ready to evolve. We were asked to analyze sentiment and measure trends within the design, tech, and academic communities, presenting themed insights and strategic recommendations for a roadmap to maintain impact with audiences that matter to IDEO.


outcome: We delivered a printed, detailed research report documenting findings of sentiment within the design, tech and academic landscape. Included were editorial illustrations that depicted the following themes: fragmentation, monetization, democratization, and the call for evolution from current “Design Thinking” positioning.
